It seems like everyone is being a pill! I come to work and people are complaining and being sarcastic and negative. I go home, and my boyfriend doesn't feel well and is permanently attached to his solitaire game. Life is so much better when we're happy! How can i get people to cheer up? Or at least, leave me out of their negativity?

It's the season...happens every year. Christmas puts a lot of pressure on people to be cheerful and jolly and spend more money than they can afford to spend and January's bills bring everyone back down to reality with a thud. Once we get past New Year's Eve things will get back to normal...until then, just grin and bear it.

I know how that is. I work with some of the most negative people I've ever met. Other than my family.
Concentrate on the positive. I know how hard that can be. But count your blessings and know that there are so many more positive things in your life than all that negativity. Sometimes when we're positive it can change some of that negative energy. And smile. They've done research showing that smiling actually improves your mood. Smile at everyone.

I am in the same boat, every where I turn all I hear is complaints. Tell them the defenses of Anxiety so they can at least understand what category they fall under and maybe that might stop them. Thats what I do and it was working at first but now I am getting responses such as "Your annoying with that Psycology crap" harsh words I say. Hopefully you will have better luck.

Since more and more people make good money it seems like more and more people are angry and depressed. It also seems like more and more people suffer from drug and alcohol abuse and take a pill for everything. It is all part of the break down in our society.

today's world of unequals is resulting on the people to be so negative.they are seeing people who get rich by night, people who find happy life, or love of their lives, and they hate them selves that they are not like those other people.i think that just empty people in some perspective of their lives are negative about everything.after a while it becomes a natural way of living for them.i know it is tough to be with that kind of people, but just a little advise:if someone at work is negative and bring you the negative energy on you, just tap them on their shoulder symbolically, and maybe you will give their bad energy beck to them and not letting to go on you.try it it maybe just work!

Just answer this simple question ie is it easier to change one person or say,25 people? If your answer is for one person, then there is a HOPE.Since we can't change others,we might as well change ourself by not allowing such external things to have a telling effect on us.Look sorry for them but don't be actually sorry.Hear their complaints but don't listen to them.Stoicism is a great virtue, more so,under your circumstances.

you ever pay attention the aphorism "misery loves business enterprise"? its actual. human beings locate camraderie in such issues. Like a shared burden is way less of a burden. valuable, chuffed issues are common to handle in my view. destructive issues are complicated to handle, and choose, consequently the ought to share them and communicate extra readilly approximately them.
