Democracy is a failure? So America is not the #1 super-power in the world? It's not the most productive country in the world? It's not the most inventive country in the world? It doesn't grant the most freedom and opportunity in the world? I can go on and on and on.....

Have you ever been outside the US? Go take a look and see how they're doing first before you open your stupid, naive litte mouth.

No but it proves that if we don't keep paying attention, don't participate, the powers that be will start taking our democracy away from us. We need to vote and vote for freedom instead of voting because we have been made afraid. The worst thing you can do is say it's not working and give up, they YOU will have helped to destroy it.

No. Democracy is good. What we need is laws that force the population to participate. Mandatory exchange with their congresswomen and men, elections on a Sunday, and media that feel obliged to inform and not entertain, therefore publicly funded television that is widely accessible.

the process of democracy isn't a failure.... however, having republicans and democrats unwilling to challenge a president who abuses his executive powers put our country and its foundation at peril!!!!!

No. I'd say they have proved that inspite of shakey leadership in government it's still the best idea to date. Beats the hell out of any other system.
