I am tring to raise money for a certain club....i appreciate any suggestions

Bake sale.
Raffle Tickets.
some sort of auction.

Corporate sponsors. Find a locally owned medium sized business and make it a one stop request $500-$2000 is really nothing to these companies... And they usually enjoy helping where they can see the fruits of a donation. Be creative.... find co.s that are in your "industry".
All too often way too much work is placed on far too little result.

We always sold candy or something similar ( pens, pencils, etc) to raise money. We sold lollipops, candy bars, stuff like that. The markup potential is huge. Kids will pay it because of it being convienient and parents an other people can be guilted into buying it.

do you have a running club in your city == if so contact them and see if they will sponsor a 5k race for your club -- it is a lot of work but if all the members pitch in you can turn it in to a annual affair and it will keep the club going long after you have left schoool!!!
