We would have balanced budgets and the dollar would stop declining .

colonel, if you participate in any election forum especially in an election year you should naturally expect people to be talking about candidates that are running. Plenty of questions about other candidates are asked but the only time I ever hear people get angry about people supporting a candidate on this site is when the question or answer is about Ron Paul.

Then people say well I might like the guy but because you talk about him I can not consider him. I think it is because people do not like when theyre Ideas are challenged.

Some good answers for the first part of your question. To your second parts of the question; No, I don't think he's too old, but if we had to wait another 8 years, definitely. He's probably at the limit of who I would vote for age wise, Gravel and McCain are older I believe. He exercises a lot (runner), and obviously has a very sharp wit.

Addressing the racist things. I'm not white (and not only whites are racist), and I look at his whole record and writings, and know for sure, that he's not racist. He hasn't lied about anything to get anywhere, so why start now.

The newsletter you speak of, was written in the 80's, very poorly by a ghostwriter, which he didn't read before it was sent out. The writer was fired, and Ron has apologized for it. There is new dirt saying that he accepted $500 from a White Nationalist as well. His response to that?

Anyone is free to send money to me, but I'm not one of them. They have $500 less dollars to spend on their ideology, and I have $500 to spend for freedom. I think that was a very solid answer. Another user that I respect (but doesn't support Paul), has said, "I would be more worried if he got donations from Exxon".

For a short video of Ron Paul addressing this, please see the source box. Thank you!

In Europe, Ron Paul is gaining in popularity. Europe has no tradition of Libertarian beliefs, so it's interesting to see how some people are very excited about his candidacy. I'm an American living in Eastern Europe, and a number of the young people here are asking me to have my mother order Ron Paul t-shirts for them. They've started studying American history although they don't need it for school. I think he's having a big impact on the youth worldwide. A lot of the young people here see their rights disappearing as the EU takes ever greater control over their governments and legal systems. A Ron Paul Revolution in America could well trigger a global revolution towards greater liberty and democracy. The EU is not a democratic organization, and the people here are starting to realize it. It's well-understood that young people are more principled than their elders, and Ron Paul is showing them that not all of our elders are so bad. He leads by example, and it resonates around the world. It's so interesting to watch idealistic young socialists change and become dyed-in-the-wool libertarian freedom lovers after watching just one of his speeches. His foreign policy makes sense to everyone young and old, although most people here don't understand the idea that labor shouldn't be taxed (The idea is catching on with the young). Personal responsibility was neither possible nor necessary during communism, so many of the young people think it's worth a try. I think Ron Paul could only have a good effect on the people of the world, but Americans will probably not care about that too much.

whilst you're making very valid factors which individuals could be talking approximately, i do no longer think of that they are prepared to take that possibility. Ron Paul has slender possibility of having the nomination. His help tops out around one third of conservatives no count what.

If Ron Paul won the presidency, then I believe things would get worse, worse in the sense that the top elites would make it hell. I support Ron Paul but the truth is that the "Bilderberg Group" runs this world! And they won't stop at any cost till their New World Order government is accomplished. So if Ron Paul is president, then we are going to expect more so called “terrorist attack” and attempts of assassination to Ron Paul!
For a couple of example of how these elites have run our government and done what ever they want:
Operation Northwoods on the ABC News website: http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=92662&page=1

In this act the U.S. Military Wanted to Provoke War With Cuba. In the early 1960s, America's top military leaders reportedly drafted plans to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities to create public support for a war against Cuba.

15 pages of declassified Joint Chiefs of Staff
documents on Operation Northwoods
as posted on the National Security Archive
of George Washington University:
http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/news/20010430

The Operation Northwoods documents were approved in writing by the Joint Chiefs of Staff—the top generals of each branch of the US armed forces—and submitted to the Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara. The only reason they weren't implemented is that the Kennedy administration rejected the plans.

Now ask yourself if similar tactics to those listed could have been used in regards to 9/11. You still think that terrorist did 911?

Consider also that in September 2000, a think-tank named Project for the New American Century (PNAC) published a blueprint for maintaining global U.S. preeminence and shaping the international security order in line with American interests. Written before the 2000 Presidential election, this revealing report was commissioned by future Vice President Cheney, Defense Secretary Rumsfeld, Deputy Defense Secretary Wolfowitz, and Florida Governor Jeb Bush. The report shows that the Bush administration intended to take military control of Persian Gulf oil whether or not Saddam Hussein was in power.

Considering the above information, is it beyond comprehension that tactics similar to Operation Northwoods might have been used in relation to the 9/11 attacks in order to create "a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat?" Could 9/11 have been the pretext upon which to build a War on Terror in order to "maintain global US preeminence?" Might the 9/11 attacks have been allowed to happen, or even facilitated and manipulated by elements of the U.S. government and military?

Our taxes would be lower. The troops would be home protecting the border instead of everywhere in the world. Less money in the pockets of leaders of other countries because all the foreign aid would be cut off.

There is no way most of his Ideas would ever get through congress. He has a dream and I am sure he believe in it.
But most of his ideas just will never happen so why waste a vote, This is the real world, whether we like it or not.

I don't think he is a racist. He does look and talk like a dead fish though. He has extremely extreme supporters and that is scary. He doesn't know who Johnny Sutton is.He did not denounce to his followers to stop threatening peoples lives.
America would go to He** in a hand basket and the world would probably love it because most other people do not like us because they are jealous.

We would become respected by the rest of the world again. The economy would improve. Your taxes would go down. Terrorists would leave us alone. Your freedoms wuld be restored.
