I think that would be great. I hate getting chewing gum stuck on my shoe.

I'm not Singaporean, but we spent a month there a year ago. And yes, chewing gum is illegal. So is smoking in public, and dropping litter, and crossing the road other than at a public crossing... violations lead to prosecution and huge fines.

I thought it was great, too, as a visitor. It's a very clean and efficient country. But I wouldn't like so much legislation if I lived there!

Yes, only for medical use. I am sure Singaporeans are chewing on all that privately. It is the nuisense the gum causes to public fittings, walls and places. I am not a Singaporean but I think its really a necessary rule. You must see how beautiful Singapore is.

no you can chew, but their is huge penalties for spitting them.
