Ron Paul is a fringe candidate at best. I guarantee you come March or so, he will not be running anymore. The powerhouse candidates are starting to show for each party. Dems. have Hillary and Obama. GOP has Guliani and Huckabee.

Some claim that Ron Paul supporters somehow influence the decision. I do not believe it though. There is just too many wins and strong finishes. Maybe a few times, but everyone, C'mon .
The Truth is No one will take him seriously until the Votes come in. If he finishes high then people will have to take notice.

You should also know, poles as so biased it's unreal. I know this because I have yet to be asked to participate in any kind of poll regarding any candidate, and I would not vote for Ron Paul.
Oh, and the Young Republican and High Schools polls may seem nice, but they don't matter since most of them are not old enough to vote. I guess we could always poll my sons 3rd grade class as well, they may like Ron Paul as well.

Straw polls aren't accurate.
That is why.
Straw polls are like the online voting polls.
The best you can find out is you look at the average of the polls to see what is going on with an accuracy.

I agree that it is very unusual that we don't see these polls plastered up on the news. You can be sure if Hillary or Guiliani had won the polls, people would still be talking about it.

Because CNN wants Hillary as president. If Ron Paul won the Republican primaries it would definitely derail any chance of her being president.
