The analysts and pundits on the Sunday talk shows are saying that Huckabee's increased popularity is simply because he's NOT Mitt Romney, whose popularity is simply due to the fact that he's NOT Rudy Guiliani. What are your thoughts on this? Are you FOR a candidate, or are you just AGAINST another?

Typically in the general election I cast a protest vote for any third party candidate. This election cycle I have a Republican candidate that I can actually support and trust. I don't expect him to win the nomination, so I'll probably cast another protest vote next November, but we'll see.

when i support a candidate i make a point that he/she is pro people, more on poor people, decisive, strong personality, a strong leader and also a good follower, he/she is also a good listener that accepts suggestions from the majority. Godly and peace loving governance. SO>>i support a candidate because she/he passed my criteria and not because he/she a friend or a popular one.

I like Huckabee. I saw him on the Colbert Report and he seems like a likeable guy.

But for your question, it depends on the election year.

I voted for Bush the senior becuase I didn't like Dukakis. I voted initially for Bush Junior after the Clinton era, but not for re-election, I went with Kerry. So only once it has been a "for" vote in the last few years.

voters do not weigh in or out each and all the themes at stake, or have finished awareness approximately those themes. some basically benefit awareness from mainstream media - and its manipulations. thinking how powerfuble or incompetent the "ordinary voter" seems to be, it easily looks like the sensible wager is that no be counted whom the voters possibilities, it is in all probability the incorrect man or woman. Comforting, isn't it? LOL

Good question. Usually because I am for someone in the primaries- but more because I am against a certain ideology in the presidential election.
