...as if we didn't know. What do you make of this?

Senior Labour figures and millionaire party donors broke the "spirit of the law" by "deliberately" trying to conceal millions of pounds of secret loans, a parliamentary report says.

The devastating assessment from MPs on the Public Administration Committee is the first official verdict on the cash-for-honours scandal which marred Tony Blair's final weeks in Downing Street.

The MPs call on Gordon Brown to urgently overhaul corruption laws because existing legislation is too weak and difficult to enforce.

They also exonerate Scotland Yard assistant commissioner John Yates.

The say he conducted a "meticulous and thorough" inquiry into the affair - despite criticism of "heavy handedness" from Blair allies

hi Elvis

again you find one of the things that most erk's me!!..

do people not know that Fear-tie from fife Gordon Brownaparte new all about this as well. he was part of it and still is.

now he has been caught with his hands in it on Labours campaign donations. when will people figure out they are all just a bunch of crooks ,after all they are all lawyers

Scotland yard i think did very well. heavy handed is the cry of the guilty in government.

now they ask our Emperor Brownaparte to correct it. all he will do is what it will take to cover his own ****..

MP's always call for sweeping measures, when was the last time you saw any and if so did they work. I've no seen any.

do people really think they will change much . this is how they get into office to screw their own nation.

we need total government reform or a new system all together

this type of thing only strengthens the distrust of government as a whole ,

it also strengthens our need for independence from the UK. in all honesty once we get it i think it will be a hard row to hoe for a while here in Scotland. but we can do it.. we may end up with a government as corrupt as yours in London eventually . if we are lucky we will keep or government in check

Parliamentary Reports at great expence are only produced to keep busy some of the eight hundred thousand extra Civil Servants engaged by Gorn Brown. No one needs them if they use a modicum of common sense, which will tell them what they want to know.

SO!! why aren't the people of Britain demanding they be charged with fraud?....how come its only the people that get arrested? its no wonder our country is in such a mess when half the labour party should actually BE!! in prison by now. they are by far the most dishonest bunch of self serving crooks we have ever seen in power, and yet they are allowed to walk free when ever they break the law. no wonder they want IN!! to the EU. there's even less accountability and even more immunity from prosecution there.

Theyre the sleazyest bunch of Turncoat Traitors we've ever had in power.........
They had more sleaze in the first 2 years of power than the Torys had in 20 !!
But people let all that glaze over em........
Closet Commies.
They call for an enquiery..... and get one of their Allies to do it........... No doubt it was someone who the Government had something on.

The shame is in this country....... No one gets p!ssed off with anything unless "The Sun" newspaper tells em too.

We should be talking about lockin Gordon Brown up for signing our country over to our enemies........ Turnin our government into Quislings.

And what everyone forgets it was still going on during the Blair/Brown handover, which in theory could have been during an election period, off course they wanted to cover it up

What's the point of making legislation tougher? We all know that not one politician and civil servant will ever see the inside of a police cell for this.

Tony's gone. Gordon will sort it. That's the idea of the inquiry. Case closed. Next 'scandal'.
