They will be different . There will be Republicns and Democrats and Those States. Although it seems there is not much difference between Republicans and Democrats anymore. I Think by 2050 these lands will be part of Mexico again. They will look Mexican, sound Mexican, They are already teaching them Mexican History. it will be different in all but name. Unless, like you said they secede. We need to Seal the Borders, Enforce Hiring Laws, Loitering Laws, Housing Laws, that they break. Letting violent criminals walk around because they are illegals it is really just pre posterous.
They want these lands to be a part of Mexico again. Many Chicano Organizations advocate taking back the lands we took from them in theyre nations infancy, not by violence simply by going there.

First, the "Mexicans" came here to get JOBS and American "Benefits"... if we were to secede, those benefits would disappear.
Second, it would require that the LEGISLATURE of those states decide to secede from the Union... and even in California, we're not THAT liberal.
Thirdly... I think we're getting CLOSER to having two California's.... OR having folks build the damned fence ourselves as well as kicking the illegals OUT>

What influence would Meicans have? (what is a Meican, BTW?)
Only "The Several States" can decide to do this, that means that the legislators of those states would have to do it.
Are you advocating that illegal immigrants should vote in a US election to influence the outcome?

Sure...if they are willing to organize their own military force to back it up.
But.....if they can't stomach economic hard times in their own country why would they stomach looking down the barrel of a federal rifle?
I did not flee the UNITED STATES during the 70's when we had inflation, recession, and oil embargo.
Mexico is not Third World.

If the Mexicans who are in those states wanted to be part of Mexico, they would have stayed in Mexico. They want to be a part of the US, so they are in the US. Why would they want to secede?

why would you secede, knowing that you will get even more hand outs for being illegal after 2008, than where you came from.....
