Metallica, Linkin Park, Crash Test Dummies, Seven Mary Three, ACDC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Live, Korn, Disturbed, Primus, Papa Roach, Meatloaf, Yellowcard, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Evanescence (sp?), All American Rejects, White Stripes
Also liked Country music, but they aren't bands so I won't list!

It was the early/mid 80's:
Some of the more well known ones were:
Scorpions, Y&T, Metallica, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Accept, White Lion, anything on the heavy side as long as you could understand some lyrics.
Some of the mellower ones were Kansas, Steve Ray Vaughn, and a little Survivor, etc.
I stayed clear of priss rock like Journey and Winger. Hated them.
