From what I recall MOST "legally" sold solder today is either totally lead free or very low lead contect.

However the "flux" that helps the solder flow is what actually gives off the fumes you smell, and the gas lamp they use to melt it.

Don't panic, but yes to leaveing windows open till the smell clears a bit.

She's maybe kicking because she wants you to talk to her and not the plumber !!!! ;)

You are worrying a bit much, but that's normal for a pregnant mother.

They know you are pregnant. If they are venting the apartment it's because this is advisable for this work, and I suspect they are doing it long enough to make sure you are safe. If you wish, and if it's not overly cold, you COULD choose to open the windows for a bit longer after they say it's OK to close them. That would give you added time venting the fumes.

Ask them what's in the solder that they use. Ask them what is in the fumes that needs to be vented. I think the workers or their boss can tell you.

You're being a good mom, worrying about things. Since you kep the area well ventilated you should be fine. I always remind myself that years ago when our parents were having us they didn't know all the things we know now and most of us came out ok. Does that mean you can do anything you want? No, but it does mean not to sweat the little things.

Yes, you are worrying a little too much, but it's okay. We all go through this when we are pregnant.

you are probably just worrying too much(easy to do when you are expecting!), it sounds like things are well-ventilated. just avoid the area they are working in.
