I'm all for it because....
Right now I'm in China, no punks on the street waiting to shoot people, beat them, no wierdos, no people sparking up or shooting up on drugs, few piedos or pervs of anykind. A girl can go out at 7pm in any city at anytime, dress like a proper tart get drunk as a rat, stagger home alone sometime between 2 - 4am and not a soul will dare touch her wrongly...
Why?
The penalty for serious crime here is harsh! Thus making it safe for all!

Hm-mm.............your avatar looks like a "Most Wanted "picture I have seen on TV. Of course you can be anyone here, can't you?
I am against the death penalty due to my religious beliefs that only the Lord can take our lives away when He calls. On the other hand..........much tax payers monies go to support the criminals for the rest of their lives. I guess that leaves with the dilemma of having to decide how to make these prisoners on death row really pay. In the end..........they will pay on Judgment Day if the Lord so deems it.

VERY MUCH in Support of the death penalty. But this is only if there is like DNA evidence that proves this person committed the crime. This being as it is way to easy to convict a person of a crime when he or she has NOT committed the crime. BUT DNA evidence is proof that is NOT wrong. I mean why keep this person alive when it is at OUR expense. Even tho living in prison is NOT fun, they actually live better than some people who have no home, or job, or medical, or food. But here is this piece of chit scum who did a crime and yet he or she is living better than the person or people who I have just mentioned. WHERE is the JUSTICE in this. PRO-DEATH

I say FOR with slight reservation. So many innocent people face the death penalty after not having a fair trial and they become victims of what society has decided for criminals who make such offenses that warrant the death penalty.
Then again, I say FOR without reservation. I think their are too many criminals with their butts parked on death row, being cared for, housed and fed with tax money that should just be executed!

For it. I think if the punishments were stricter in this country there would be less crime. People think they can get away with anything. I've heard it China if they catch you spray painting a building they cut you figure off. So if the punishments were more on those lines wouldn't you think twice before committing a crime?

I'm definately for it.
I almost got to sit on a jury one time and it involved the death penalty. When I told the prosecutor that I was FOR it, they were loving me. Fortunately, the criminal confessed to the crime before I had to sit there and debate his life. The criminal was an illegal mexican. He could not speak english. But he could take life.

Against...for those that truely deserve it, it seems far too easy a way out. Let them rot in prison and get raped repeatedly for years on end until they die a miserable death. THAT is a true punishment.

depending on the crime im FOR the death penalty...altho i dont understand why they are saying that lethal injection is now a cruel way of doing it...so they give the inmate something to not feel the pain...did that person CARE about the pain they were putting the person (s) through when they killed them...? my uncle was murdered when i was 7 next door to me and the man that did it...didnt care that he had kids and a wife..
