What does SWAC stand for? Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi just won the SWAC championship and I have NO IDEA what that stands for.

South Western Athletic Conference. Probably it's 2 most known members are Southern and Grambling, who play the Bayou Classic every year. This game is also known for its' "Battle of the Bands" at halftime. You don't want to leave your seat during halftime of the SWAC's games. The bands are very entertaining.
Some very famous football players played in the SWAC including Jerry Rice and Walter Payton.
