The sex is the same. Lifetime commitment is the same. Both are instituted by the church. Are they the same thing?

This is marriage and not just the absense of sex, lifetime commitment and church as you described.
I think u don't know what a true marriage is...

no...if you are in a sexless marriage it's a marriage you shouldn't be in...get a divorce and find someone who will have sex with you...as far as church I don't believe in organized religion...so if everyone felt like me then that problem would be solved too.

and a lifetime commitment??? have you seen the divorce statistics?

In a way.You make a lifetime commitment in both.But the biggest difference is the extra cirriculum activities with your partner.
