I think you got wrong information, China is the most populous country in the world. How could they need more people there?

Cause they are a communist nation. The economy is capitalistic. But you still have to get a permit for everything. You can only have 1 child and one dog per family. It's extremely communistic.

they probably need more people because of the laws they had limiting the number of children you could have to control population..because of that many infant girls were killed or abandoned at birth so the parents could try again for a boy
