You spent time with your family, went for Sunday walks and just relaxed. Now you can shop till you drop-eat out-and do all those things that damage our environment. Are we really interested in preventing global warming? Isn't it just a big money making myth?

Global Warming is the same money making myth as shopping till you drop and eating out. This entire world is all about MONEY MAKING!!!!! When will it or will it ever go back to the days of going for Sunday walks and spending time with your family, all the practicality is gone, but for how long??

Yes, I can also remember getting lumbered with the washing up while my mother fell asleep on the sofa, after slogging away all morning in the kitchen every Sunday. I can also remember a time when you couldn't buy coal or washing powder on a Sunday too. Times change as do the climates. The world is progressing the same as it did in the ice age and the dark ages. Now we have a 'wet age coming? No one knows what to expect, as it's never happened before in our lifetime or in a time when it could be recorded. I don't believe in global warming, although I do believe resources will dry up one day and we will need to find alternatives. Yes a money making scheme, preying on our ignorance, just the same as when the petrol changed from gallons to litres. It cost the same, you just got a whole lot less as usual.

The only reason we spent time with our families, went for Sunday walks etc was because there was nothing else to do as everywhere was shut apart from church. Nothing to do with global warming just Sunday trading laws. Nowadays people work more varied hours and sometimes Sunday is the only day they have to do all their shopping and leisure activities.

I remember those days but I'm not sure they were better. Yes it was nice to spend the day with the family and go for Sunday walks or visit the grandparents but it was boring too. As a non-religious person I can't see why we can't shop on a Sunday, why not a Saturday or any other day? Personaly I don't shop or go anywhere on a Sunday except for a walk localy with the dog. That's my choice I don't try to enforce it on anyone else.

I agree - global warming is a myth that some scientists are using to make money.

Until the Queen puts out the lights at her palace, Gordon brown switches off the lights at downing street and the MP's switch of the lights at their main and (undeserved) second homes, why the hell should we act?
I bet between them, they damage the enviroment more in one week, than this whole street does in a year.

When they give us a country and planet without the corruption and money making scams, i'm sure people will act. Unitl then, here is a message for you and them:

PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH!!!!

I was telling my 13yr old son about this the other day.The only places open on a Sunday was the local church and local pub.If there was something that you'd forgotten to get for Sunday lunch then you just had to do without it.I sometimes long for those days to return.Might make people slow down a bit if only for one day.

You do not have to join in all of these things, your family can be anything you make it.
As for global warming, just go with the flow, they will change their minds tomorrow.

Probably, but also many people work on Saturdays now and can't always get shopping in the week, so Sunday may be the only time they get.
