I constantly see these posts relating to Fox News Channel when Fox is the ONLY one that does present BOTH sides of each issue. It's the give and take between commentators that really make for a valid discussion of issues yet this seems to have liberals shaking in their boots. Could it be that a fair discussion of an issue will prove out how weak one side of the argument may be?

Fox leans to the right, don't kid yourself.

And this comes from a conservative Republican.

To answer your question, though, the far left liberals see ANYTHING that counters them as a threat. They really DON'T want people to think. They want people to take one and only one side of an issue, and it's best if they have no real grasp of the other side of the issue. They CLAIM to be thinkers, but too many are just regurgitaters. I know I watch Fox News and many times disagree with what either the host or the guest is saying. I watch Glenn Beck, too, on Headline News, and frequently disagree with people he has on.

However, I did watch, and was forced to think about exactly why I disagreed with that point of view. You don't get that from too many liberals. They concede nothing, and expect you not only to concede, but to convert entirely.

Unrepentant Fenian Bastard, I wore one for 9 years, 2 months, and 27 days, serving in Korea and the Middle East. Twice in each case. Is that enough time served in the military to satisfy you? Am I allowed to speak in your world now?

*LOL* Because the truth hurts.

I'm not going to say there isn't some bias in Fox News. But there is a lot of truth there too. Your line about fair discussion says it all. Like the clown who posted "Why do conservatives want a refund of signing bonues from wounded soldiers?".

It's not Conservatives or the Pentagon who wanted the soldier to send back part of the signing bonus. It was some bureaucrat who saw the soldier didn't complete his enlistment. And if it had been for other than medical reasons he should have given some back. But the bureaucrat didn't check why the soldier left service early. That bureaucrat should be fired or at least lowered a level. Bureaucrats like that are why government wastes 35% of every dollar they spend on paperwork.

In their effort to monitor where money is going government spends too much paying bean counters.

It doesn't matter much whether you're talking about FOX, Limbaugh, Hannity or Coulter. Anyone who exposes liberals and their political philosophy to the light of day and doesn't adhere to the usual leftist spin, will be hated and feared by the left. Remember that US liberalism cannot survive in an enlightened society. It must have a monopoly on dissemination of information. Once the truth about it's motives and methods becomes public, it loses adherants. If this wasn't true then liberals wouldn't give a hoot about FOX, just as conservatives don't comment much about ABC, CBS and NBC. They're just not important to us.

Libs are all for the free press and freedom of speech as long as it is they who are doing the talking. All you have to do is look at what they are trying to do to talk radio, most particularly Rush Limbaugh. As he has said so many times, all they have to do is start their own radio show and put their ideas out there. Well, they did and it has gone like like the Hindenburg. This is Rush's fault? The fact is, Libs always crow to the Republicans about "Open Debate" when it is a Republican issue and Libs are trying to discredit it. Yet should anyone dare to question a Liberal on a stance, someone will rush to pull your microphone plug or taser you until you shut up.

I haven't heard of ANY Republicans wanting to shut down or restrict Air America yet Democrats are constantly talking about the unfairness of Rush's program and how it should be balanced with mandatory "fair and balanced" programing. It's is nothing but Liberals trying to control free speech and shut down the opposition. Do Liberals not think that ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN balance out Fox? Or are they afraid Fox will lure away the disenfranchised with alternatives to Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather?

Because liberals are the biggest hypocrites on the planet- they cry about free speech- but go ape$hit and try to suppress any thought contrary to their own.

Perfect example- they want to include each and every group (except whites and Christians) under a protected class- and if say anything to hurt someones "feelings" in this group- they want it classified as hate speech or harassment. However look at the vitriol they spit out on the board regarding Christians, Republicans and President Bush- doesn't exactly seem like "acceptance and inclusion" to me.

Think of a left wing Taliban and that would be an accurate description of the current liberal movement in America.

I was given free-reign by CNN and MSNBC while Haditha was the cherished love child of Al-Queda, Tim Mcgirk, and the MoveOners.

Doesn't that seem to support accuracy and fairness in reporting?

As for Fox, they and I had, um, scheduling issues.

I'm not in any fear of Fox News. However, the notion that Fox is fair and balanced is downright laughable. Sad to say, the folks at Fox don't know how to (or won't) separate the news from editorializing. Watch it carefully. Constant references and innuendo are provided in an attempt to convince the viewer that something is wrong or right about a specific situation which occurred in the news sector. That's not independent reporting. That's shoving an agenda, quietly or otherwise.

NOW do you understand how it got the nickname FAUX News ?

It is a standard Liberal ploy to tell you that your opinions are wrong because of what news channels you watch, or which newspapers you read. Instead of engaging you in an honest debate they fear they will lose.
Surely there is room in this world for Fox news, Squirrel News, whatever?

The FOX haters just deny, lie and ignore facts.

I've quit watching pretty much all TV news, including FOX, but IMO FOX has a much better record of fair reporting than any of the other Leftwing stations.

The truth hurts! They are just closed minded to see what is right and what is wrong in the world.

They hate to see there ideas blown away when they compare the two fairly on Fox News.

If you are unable to look at something objectively and call it a lie, yet you pander to idiots like Bill Maher, or Jon Stewart both liberal comedians, for the truth. Then that is truly pathetic!
