Islamic law is absolutely incompatible with democracy. It is a theocratic system with Allah alone at its head. Allah's law is interpreted by a ruling body of clerics. There is no room for a secular political system in which all people are treated as equals.

It's just as compatible with democracy as any monotheistic religion. Existing political and social institutions, history and culture have more to do with whether a democracy can succeed than religion itself.
But if you believe that democracy can't succeed in an Islamic land, that is not an unreasonable belief, all things considered. In that case, however, you should support the withdrawal of our troops from Iraq.

It is Arab countries (or having a government supported by oil revenues) that have trouble with democracy not Islamic ones.
Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Turkey are all Muslim countries with democratic governments and home to the majority of the worlds Muslims.
Your reasoning is like looking at Central America and generalizing what you see to the governments of all Christian countries.
Edit: Middle eastern countries have also had continuous interference from the US and Europe since the end of colonial rule, and during the cold war they undermined several secular governments that were not sufficiently pro west.

It doesn't seem to be. Democracy depends on religious tolerance and separation of church and state.
Islam's teachings seem to denounce religious tolerance.
