At 2 months, he should have been to the ped a handfull of times, didn't you ask the doctor?
My daughter grunted in her sleep, preventing my husband and I from getting rest for the first month. So after that month, she was put in her crib in her own room and had the monitor on her from there on out. The grunting went away after about 3 months, and the doc said everything was normal.
Try propping up her matteress with a few books so her head is raised. That might help with draining.

My son is now 11 months old. He was carried full-term and delivered via c-section. I had concerns about him sounding stuffy and like he was congested for months. They advised me that it was mucus and it would eventually go away on it's own. I was really concerned because they breathe through thier noses only the first few months. But most babies sound like this and they can be born 2 weeks early, 2 weeks late HEALTHY & NORMAL! Good luck!

I would get him checked out by a docter, i cant see how his lungs would not be developed at 38 weeks he would have been classed as full term. As someone else has mentioned r.s.v is rife at this time of year between october and march.
It may be nothing but at such a young age you cant afford to sit on it.
babies are such a worry i hope things are ok xx

My baby still had mucus in his lungs and he made some very strange noises when he breathed, it is quite common, but I would definitely see a doctor if it has gone on for more than 2 months. Good Luck

if they released the baby from the hospital without saying anything, then your baby must be fine. And you did take your baby to his follow up appointments with the peadiatrician, didnt you? did you mention anything then?? It may go away or that just may be how he breaths.
Its okay to be concerned and keep aware if you think it may be getting worse but if its not then I wouldnt worry too much.

You should also ask your doctor about acid reflux. Does your baby spit up a lot? Acid reflux is fairly common in infants and can cause raspy breathing.

When a baby is that young you don't fool around asking here.
You take them to the Dr. If your Dr. isn't giving you satisfactory answers then take the baby to a pediatrician
