No creativity will always be there what the kids want today is access to everything so they can copy it and save time and get back to the texting or music or computer game, this is not strangling their creativity it is making them lazy and unimaginative.

Look at answers every day some kid is asking for the answer to a question when with two clicks they could find it themselves, pure idleness and the easy way out. Give them an answer go find it yourself or ask your parents or teacher.

Creativity will always be a part of human nature what we have to do is encourage people to use it not just take the view that nothing is new and I can use something someone else has done and that will do.

The point is good but I would say that copyright is secondary.
The first horrible thing along those lines was the killing of creative focus in schools. Things like art, music, poetry are not taught in school anymore.

Then there is the copyright slam on creative output.

And I agree with his statement that it forces our kids into piracy. I would also add other "creative" outlets such as hacking, and scamming. This has been commented on in the white-hat NetCop forums. Some of our best and most creative minds are being forced into criminal outlets because other legal avenues have been made too difficult.
