Britons could be allowed to vote in American Presidential elections,in spite of each and every thing,u.s. dictates British foriegn coverage,and characteristic the criminal suitable to have British voters arrested & taken to u.s., without recourse to British courts.Bush treats Blair like some small-city Mayor,no admire for the country Blair governs.

It was aleady set up before Tony Blair cane into the picture.

If you look carefully, it started in Maggie Thatchers time, and the way our governments have come into line for the US since that time, makes me think they have some sort of hold over this country. ( Blackmail ?? )

There are not "four countries named Great Britain". There are three countries named Great Britain (England, Wales, Scotland). In the United Kingdom there are four countries (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland).

many reasons. united states was not looking for a 51st state. united kingdom was not looking to become a state in the union. even if the government of the uk had decided that this was desirable they would have had to put it in their election manifesto, get elected with a mandate to do that, debate it in parliament and then there would be loads of legal stuff to consider. they would also have to deal with the political fall out. i for one would be violently against it and take to the streets in protest ( bet i wouldn't be the only one ).

Because Blair ruled 4 countries named Great Britain... which funnily enough has been around a lot longer than USA and has a stronger economy currently!
