I don't know what the best bargain was, since we've been
going to thrift stores for over 30 years for the thrill of the 'hunt'.
But I think our most recent, was last year, we found a new
leather recliner at a Goodwill store, and it was obviously
priced wrong at only $30.00. And it sits so comfortable.
Leather chairs are not inexpensive so that was a real deal
as far as we are concerned.
Recently my husband took something back to another
Goodwill store, and found a like new espresso maker for
only $15.00. He priced them retail and found that this particular model and brand, cost around $150.00. I didn't
realize they cost that much. And that's the only 'coffee' drink
he has drank in the last ten years. So he got an exchange
on the returned item, and paid the extra $5.00. So he feels
he gave himself an early Christmas present. So he's a very
happy camper lately LOL.

I bought a Radar Range (microwave) Touchmatic II made by Amana. I paid $600 for it in 1985. It is still working as good as ever today. My wife thought I over spent at the time, but has commented many times over the last 22 years, what a good buy it was! We have had three refrigerators, three ranges, four washers, and three dryers in that 22 year time period.

Can't remember past bargains but I found a Galileo thermometer marked down to a third of the original cost. This is the one that has the liquid and the colored glass which indicates temperatures at different levels. It is beautiful and I am giving this to my oldest grandson.
