I think you already know why...in my opinion it is a necessity for the survival of humankind and for its evolution.
War is not compatibly with any evolution...

There are weapons of destruction in the Governments,Organisations, Communities , groups and individuals and they can use it easily and unobtrusively(what with remote operations) and, what is more, tension/stress is increasing between people and nations,fit of anger is there for the asking,hand may go easily on the weapon for the trigger. Hence, peace at all levels and the conscious measures to ensure that must be the order of the day .

It might be a necessity in toady's society but it ain't ever going to happen now is it, guess you can live in hope and what would the world be without hope

Don't look for peace outside. It all begins from within you. Cultivate it and then radiate it to everyone. We all keep talking about it but the words seem to weigh heavier than the deeds. Peace takes its source from within us .Whatever is happening before our eyes is nothing but an manifestation of what is inside us.
