1) When you start the PC, it should tell you the installed RAM in KB. (1024KB=1MB, 1024MB=`GB).
2) Once Windows loads, if it's Vista, the welcome center will have some system information, and you can go farther in to find out the total RAM (part of which may be assigned to your graphics card.) If it's Windows XP, you can go to Control Panel, switch to classic view, then go to System, and the General screen will tell you your installed RAM (minus the RAM allocated to the graphics card.)

Yep ...the right click on My Computer and Properties will work fine ... in the middle of the screen under System you'll see your processor speed and your Ram quantity ... you could also download and run a program called Belarc (do a google search) that will tell you all you want to know about your system from the Motherboard to Ram to the Installation Keys of your Programs

If u use windows operating system.. On ur desktop right click on ur "MY computer"->properties u cud find the RAM information on it... Sometime it wont give u exactly 3 GB , but a value near to 3GB because some RAM space might be used by ur built in video card..

the other answers are correct right click on my computer and click properties you will see what processor you are using and the ram. If you want to know all the specs, brand of each and every part of your computer go to download.com and download astra32 and read the description. Install astra32 into your computer then run it after that it will analyze your computer and show all the specs.

Right click the My Computer icon and choose Properties. It should say right there (which is the equivalent to going to the Control Panel and choosing System).
