no, i have never heard latin spoken.
language is a very interesting concept. language is dependent not only on individuals speaking it, but on economic status--mainly due to colonization.
hm... there are almost too many factors to consider..

I think that something definitely should be done to save such languages. Take Latin for example. It is a beautiful language, but it's not a spoken language anymore. I believe that it should be reinstated. Have you ever heard the Latin? I did a couple of years ago and it has this soothing sound to it.
