I answer to the best of my ability! Serious questions get serious answers, fun questions get funny answers! Basically I try to please the answerer one way or the other! Obviously I love getting 'best answer' !!!

Well, I would hope that if my answer was chosen as best, then I AM HELPING.
Listen, I just look for questions that I could possibly provide an answer for. I don't do it just for the sake of getting the best answer, because if someone has an answer that is seen as better than mine, then good. At least someone's helping, right?

I read through several pages of questions before I even think of answering one.
I only choose questions that I know something about, and that my answer hopefuly will genuinly help people. For instance I'm a recovered alcoholic, and I always answer genuine questions on alcohol problems. I also have strong views on the 'paranormal' so I invariably answer those.
I never answer silly questions just for points, or questions that I'm not happy with my answer, for instance I read everone else's answer first, and if I think someone else has answered it better, I don't bother with mine.
I do therefore by definition, like to get 'best answer', at the moment I'm on 12% and will strive to get better, for my own satisfaction and for helping others, the points are just 'icing on the cake'.

Always do my best to help people with my answers.
When I come across questions that have no interest to me or I am unable to give a sensible answer to - I move on to the next one.
Sometimes I think the answers don't always satisfy the person asking the question but he or she is not the only one who reads them - so by default some one else may be helped by the answers.

I usually pick interesting questions that I know I can answer properly and just hope that I get picked as best answer. But I'm not really thinking about it before I answer the question. And plus, you can't win 'em all!

It's a stupid question, I'll give them a smarta__ answer. If it's a real question and I happen to know (or think I know) the answer I'll give it to them. I'd only expect to be treated the same. If I get a best answer, then Woo-hoo! 10 points....

Can't you do both? Usually the best answer is the one that's the most helpful.
