No. Cats can carry diseases that don't necessarily get destroyed in the compost pile. I wish I knew what to do with it . . . . This article says you should just bury it in your flower beds (not your veggie garden).

do not put used kitty litter anywhere the dirt will have contact with food supply. It is full of animal waste and will attract other stupid animals, like dogs. At best, sift it out, throw "clumps" in garbage and the "clean" litter in a compost pile, not for the vegetable garden.

absolutely not. It can carry diseases.

What I do do is fill some holes I have on the property with the kitty litter. I place sawdust in then kitty litter and more sawdust. If i have other non use able compost materials I will add them to this hole (walnut tree leaves, shoemack leaves, items to high in acid content, etc).... along with sawdust and then shredded leaves on top. I will them add soil on top later.

But I never use and cat litter or dog droppings in compost for gardens and plants. Denise http://thegardenersrake.com

No plant nutritional value in kitty litter, it's rocky material. Animal feces and urine aren't good for plants.

I wouldn't add it to my compost.

the perfect and healthiest thank you to get rid of used cat muddle is to place it interior the dumpster! I even have study the style of super form of stupid manufacturers of cat muddle that print the suggestion that human beings can place used cat muddle in compost piles that i might desire to scream. human beings, it is an insane thank you to get rid of used cat muddle. you won't be able to possibly understand no count if or no longer your cat has worms, parasites or different volatile micro organism that passes via their platforms into their urine and feces. it is then deposited into the cat's muddle. it fairly is disgusting and ignorant for manufacturers of cat muddle to point removing used muddle containing cat waste products into compost. it is ill!

Excrement from meat-eating animals has no place in a compost pile; period. Guano, horse, llama, alpaca, sheep and cow manure are fine.
