How many books do you read a year?
I go through phases. I´ll read for about 2-3 hours everyday for months, one book after another, and then suddenly I stop reading completely for a long time and turn to surf on the internet or watch TV instead.

I do the same,I used to read 3 or 4 books a week but I just haven't got much spare time these days and when I have I prefer to do other things at the moment...I have a stack of books I've been meaning to read but can't seem to find any motivation-might give one a go tonight though now I've mentioned it!

I do the same, when I was younger no one could get a book out of my face I was constantly reading. Now I go months at a times I will read one book after another, some I don't put down until it is completely finished, even staying up alnight to do so, others for a few hours at a time every day. Then I go for months without reading any books at all for awhile. Good luck, best wishes.

I guess you could call me "bookish". I read one or two books a week, sometimes more. I've had work done on my knee so have to spend a certain amount of time resting it daily. When I ride my exercise bike, I read. I take a book along whenever I go anywhere I might have to wait. Of course, sometimes if I'm watching television I need to be reading a book or doing some sort of needlework because just watching television is too boring. Then again, I might get the incentive to do some housework and I can't read while I'm doing that.

In my family we've always been readers and frequently trade books around. We go to second-hand book stores and usually read almost any subject. Someone once asked me what kind of books I liked best and I said "big ones."

However, when my kids were little I didn't read as much myself because I was too busy, but I did read to them.

From the time I learned to read until I was about 16,I used to read every day for like 5 or 6 hours at a time but now that I'm married&I have a lot of things to get done,I usually just read a book when I see one that catches my eye or it's a book that I've heard about&want to read it.

I read books as often as I am able to in the little spare time that I have. I read every day, even if I only manage a few pages due to other commitments. I would hazard a guess that I read approximately 30 - 35 books a year and reading is something that I've loved since my childhood.

I'm a desperate bookworm and if I don't read daily I would definitely break down. I read all sorts of books, and at least 6-7 per week which brings it to about 285 books per year. I much prefer reading to surfing on the net or doing other things.

Not often. I read in bed. Probably at least 2 hours a day. Depends on the book. If the book is really interesting, I don't read, I devour.
I have to read. I used to read the stuff on the back of corn flake packs and I read the advertisements on the back of my bus ticket.

I read about eight books a month, so that makes around 96 a year. (I also review them on the internet)

I grab whatever chance I can to read, half an hour here and there. Try to read for an hour every lunchtime. Nearly always read in bed before going to sleep.

Hi,i have always loved reading books since i was a young kid,i love all sorts of books, fiction and non fiction, and reserch books on all holistic and complementary therapies.
However since my 14yr old daughter took ill just over a yr ago with a brain tumor, ive not been able to read and complete/finish one book!
Ive bought light reading fiction, true storie/life books, books on my holistic therapy subjects, but only get as far as reading the title, index,or first chapter!
I cant seem to even complete reading a magazine,,just look at the pics, and do the odd word search,i hate it,because reading is and was my fav relaxation hobbie, any tips would be appreciated,so i do understand ,
