I know this boy (We'll call him Zack) who was a very naughty boy, and when he was bad, his mom beat him with an ugly stick and she made him give himself swirlies in the toilet!!!!
Now he's rude and really ugly and thinks he's the best...Are these symptoms of any post-traumatic disorders??? Thanks.

He was rude right from the beginning and beatings and punishments acted as a catalyst in making him more mischievious and rude and ofcourse, more rebellious.I don't think its a post-traumatic disorder. It cud be his natural behaviour .Some kids are like tht. Reasons cud be many like problems in family or some sort of psychological disorder from birth. He shud be taken to a counsellor who deals with such children.

No. It was my dad that hit me with the ugly stick. I think if more dads hit there kid's now a days with the ugly stick the world would be a better place to live. It didn't hurt me that much. I think it made me a better man.

So let's say this 'Zack' boy was being beaten!!!!

HELLO! Did you say BEATEN?????

Who cares if he is not 'beautiful' and 'rude' and has issues with thinking he's the 'best'........sheesh!

He was beaten by his mum who is meant to be his life coach, his loving role model, his teacher!

Did anyone actually do anything by calling Docs or child services or any kind of authorities????

Your enquiring about PTD - so then you are aware that what his mum did was wrong I take it because you are OBVIOUSLY aware that there are consequences to a child when they are physically abused by a parent? Otherwise, you'd not be asking.

Glad your not my friend.

No, it isn't symptons of post traumatic disorders. !!These is more serious than that, its been in a war, for example, and see people died!!
This boy is making a reaction to the hiting and he is by nature a rude boy. Should be treat with respect not by hitting him and also giving responsables tasks to do to make hims see how he disrespect.

Serious PTSD and CPTSD are worse in abused children then they are in combat soldiers. It has been proven that personality disorders (permanent changes in brain structure) takes place in child abuse. Someone better report them to child protective. Child abuse is a cycle that must be broken.

A girl kissed me when I was a boy.

But I did not know what to do!

My mother has beaten me with a stick for that.

yes my mom used to beat me with her nasty little stick as i was the naughtiest of the family....even though i am a girl.
But that has not affected anything in my character.
It rather halped me to become a better personality after shedding all my naughtiness.
Thank you.
