Based on how terrible my wife acts when she is not feeling well and the repercussions of this on me, I think it would have been better had I carried to term and not her.
Love her but she is no fun when not feeling well and hard work.

There is a proceedure called epidural (a form of conscious anisthetic) that eliminates the vast majority of the pain associated with labor. And for a man to carry a child, surgery would be needed to extract it. (this was done recently in Taiwan). Weighing the risks of such a unique surgery, I think I would have to decline and simply have my love opt for the epidural. This, of course, assumes that she is healthy and no potential complications for pregnancy exist.

I'm not a man, but I couldn't resist adding this comment: What's wrong with him carrying the baby for the first 9 months AFTER its birth? OK, if he has a job where he can't do that, fine. But if he doesn't, do like Yoko Ono did. Hand him to his daddy and say: Your turn.

If I could take the pain upon myself while she gave birth I would do it in a heart beat. I don't want to see her suffer. Nevertheless I know its going to be an amazing and surreal experiance......I love you Gloria.
