I know its inaccurate with the Original "ILiad" story.
But wow, the storyline was great, good actors/actresses.

This movie's version of Achilles is just awesome, fight scenes were amazing, and to top it off, it had somewhat a Romantic aura to the film.
Which is rare to find for a Bloody War film.

I give it 9/10
The directors cut is 10/10

One just has to accept that they weren't trying to make a movie of the Iliad, which is really more about the gods than the Greeks and Trojans. The movie left the gods out entirely.

Having said that, I enjoyed the movie.

**thetruth** He's supposed to die that way! According to legend his mother had dipped him in the river Styx to make him invincible, but his mother held him by the heal. The heal did not get submerged, and hence it was his only weak spot. Haven't you ever heard the expression "Achilles' heal?"

I liked Eric Bana's performance much more than Brad Pitt's.

It was a decent movie. Decent casting. A story line closer to the Iliad might have been too boring.

It's based on one of the oldest pieces of Western literature known. It might be fun to do one based on "The Odyssey."

it was good but the way achillies died was kinda gay. This dude could fight off armies single handedly but a single arrow in the ankle did him in

It was so-so. I wasn't really impressed, not even by handsome Brad Pitt.
