So I'm leaving in 2 days and staying at the property; I just realized (to my dismay) that they are building CityCenter right next door. My question is, how can I minimize the noise, in terms of which floor/side to stay on? Also, would bringing earplugs be a good idea?

Or am I being too melodramatic?

I have been going to Vegas 2 or 3 times a year for the past 15 years and there is ALWAYS construction going on somewhere, usually multiple places, on the strip. There is rarely a noise problem unless they are working on or near your floor in your hotel. The City Center construction is far enough away that it will not be a problem and if it does become a problem just go to the front desk and tell them , they will move your room.

You would definitely be able to hear construction noise in some of the rooms, in other rooms you won't even realize it's going on.

Rooms in the South wing, on the mid-low floors, as far down the hall as possible (away from elevators) will probably be the quietest.

It is a slow time of year so they should be able to get you at least some of that, just ask specifically for a quiet room away from the construction.

If you do hear noise in your room, don't suffer and hope it will go away and then wait until the end of your stay and complain about it, call the front desk the instant you hear anything and ask for a different room.

You are being melodramatic. When you are in your room, which probably won't be often, you won't hear anything. Depending on which side you are on you might see the construction. The construction has a long way to go. But I doubt you will hear any noise when you are in the hotel. Don't be concerned with it at all.

When you check in tell them you're sensitive to noise and request a room on the opposite end of the hotel. They also provide earplugs if you ask.

Get a room on the highest floor available.

It won't be a problem. You should be fine. You will hear more noise in the hallways than outside. None of the windows open so they are soundproof. You can bring your earplugs, they won't take up much room.

You're being melodramtic.

Vegas Hotels are built with the best sound control there is. You will be fine..

For some strange reason if it is a problem, call the front desk and Im sure they will move you to a less noisy room.
