I am a mortgage loan officer....new just starting out!
I am in a pretty big city...the market here is definetely in a low, but people in my office are still making sales and decent money. So, how can I get realtors to send me business. I think my number one attribute is my customer service and my personality. I always have my phone with me...Ill call someone back within the same day! Ill work weekends if needed!

So, how can I persuade some realtors?
Please help!

Dear Nicole....NEVER underestimate the power of a box or two of Krispy Kreme's delivered to the office at 'an appropriate time'. (Hint...when you can smell fresh coffee brewed.)

While that may be a bit of a joke, such a move is the way to introduce yourself to assorted realtors, and 'sell yourself' to them in the process. As a realtor, I get pummelled with assorted mailed advertisements from loan brokers, all of which are tossed into the nearest waste receptacle. The ones who go out of their way to make the regular personal contacts are the ones who draw my interest.

And, while this may surprise you, I do the same in reverse. Real estate agents who do not recognize the value of a good relationship with one or more mortgage brokers are missing out on good chances to get potential buyers and sellers referred by the mortgage broker.

I do the same type of work. Go out and meet them so they can put a face to the voice on the other end of the phone.

Get out from behind that desk.

Good Luck
