I bought a hydraulic stool and of course it came in a box and it has instructions, but not clear ones, so can you help me decide if I assembled the 2 metal washers and the nut in correct order?
One of the little dinky washers is flat and and the 2nd little washer in the picture is rounded and is a little smaller than the 1st one.
I put the screw in the hole, then put the flat washer over the screw then I put the little dinky one on next and then put the nut on. Am I going in the right order or should the little dinky one come 1st.
This is not a joke. I am trying to assemble a stool to put next to my new utility table. Why dont they do a better job in the instruction manual. They didnt even show a picture. Am I putting them in the right order?

I think I may have to go to the place where I bought the stool and have a look-see because they had one assembled on the shelf.

Washers are used to spread the force of a nut and bolt over a larger area so the washers should go either side of whatever you are bolting. In order, it should be: bolt head, washer, material, washer, nut.

HI the lock washer should go under the nut, Not knowing what it looks like the flat washer could go under the head of the bolt (screw) or under the lock washer depending on how the holes are.. but I'm thinking it would go under the head of the screw. good luck tim

I am not very very sure, but i think you put one of the washers in the screw before you put it in the hole. And then the smaller washer, then the nut goes on last.

it seems to me that put the little one on the bolt then put the bolt through the object then the next washer then the nut.
the washers are there so that the nut doesnt pull through the object its going through!
