Personally, I look for someone that is emotionally, mentally, and financially stable. Mostly the emotionally and mentally part.
Secondly, I look for the traits of, though not limited to;
-Loving, funny, good conversationalist.
A person must have goals with their life, and strive to get them, whether they reach them or not, they have at least tried for them.

I'm not entirely sure what I would want out of a relationship that would last until marriage and further on down the road. I thought I knew at one point two months ago, but not anymore.

I don't think we really ever know what we want out of a long term relationship that may lead to marriage, we kind of just go with the flow, and if it works out, it does. Whether they meet the requirements or not. If they do, that's great, but if they have some "flaws" then oh well, at least you get along with them as a friend and will be there when they need it (vice versa of course).

MUST have? Here we go, in order of importance.

1. Sex
2. Friend
3. Advisor
4. Partner
5. Intelligent communicator.

Looks are not that important. For initial attraction good look helps. After the first or second meeting, the intelligence becomes a factor.

It will take you a lifetime to discover the answers, and just as you think you've got it down, they'll change. That's true of us guys, too - we're forever trying to figure you gals out and forever not quite getting it. But that's what keeps us coming back for more - the mystery, the intrigue. Please, don't ever change...life would be so boring otherwise!

I like nice-looking women. That means you take care of yourself. A little thin or a little heavy doesn't hurt anything.

I like intelligent women. Knowledgeable. Opinionated is okay. Not argumentative.

Oh, and I like women who like me. I'm married, I've been married for 25 years. It's my second marriage. First one failed because of betrayed trust (she betrayed it--I didn't.) So I want to be able to trust the woman or women in my life.
