I am 27 and have a 3 year old. SO far my skin is good and i dont have any wrinkles etc but a friend of my age has started developing fine lines. I understand that some skin types are different as well as aging process is different from individual to individual. But my question is ON AVERAGE... when does the aging processs begins? and what to look for? I take good care of my skin :o)...so hopefully i'd be able to slow it a little. hehe

I have been married for 21 years, and have not noticed any signs of aging in my wife. Luckily my eyesight has deteriorated at the same pace as the rest of me (and her).

Seriously, I work at a women's hospital, and reckon that women start to visibly age at about 20 -25.
That is when the growth of puberty has ended, and, historically, children should already have been born, so there is less need to retain elasticity and tone. That is what causes the normal skin lines to become more visible. All that cream you add will do not much, I'm afraid. Just ask an independant dermatologist. Limit Sun exposure to 15 minutes per day (enough to maintain Vitamin D levels), eat healthily, drink plenty of fluid, etc, etc. Use simple cheap moisturiser, (without perfume), and you should maintain your natural appearance for as long as you will.
Not that it should make any difference, as you should be accepted for who you are, lines and all.

i don't believe it depends on the type of cream you use. i had a friend in college who had fine lines when she was 18 because her skin was so very very dry and couldn't find anything to solve the problem. she went to about 5 dermatologists and used all kinds of face cream and it did nothing for her. it all depends on genetics. think about it, before there was all this cosmetic revolution, there were women that aged gracefully and women that looked 40 at 25. of course nowadays you can slow it down....but i look at my mom who is almost 50 and she has 2 or 3 wrinkles around her eyes (and those are because she wears glasses and she stares into a computer all day at work)
On average, cosmetics experts say that you have to begin worrying about wrinkles at about 25 years old, that's when your skin slows down on production of regenerative cells. hope this helps

Depends on what creams and care you have taken with your skin over your life time I suppose.

If we remove all our medical abilities and hygine stuff, the boffins say that the life expectancy of a human is about 40 years, (this is why people tend to start getting arthritus around that age), and so it us understandable that wrinkles would start to appear. Technically speaking, the "ageing" process begins the day you are born. But as for your question, 30 without all these creams etc is acceptable time, but these days you can get anti wrinkle creams for when you are 60!!

I am 37 and so far, I have very few fine lines....I do not have wrinkles at all......I do have some, like I said very fine lines around my mouth where I smile and just a few at the corners of my eyes.......I too take very good care of my skin and I have since I was a teen. I think this is very, very important but in the end, there is nothing you can do........it is going to happen. Part of it is going to come from your parents, my mother is 55 and she has very few wrinkles too, so I am looking forward to having good skin....However, my daddy, has gray hair....LOL...and guess what......I already have a lot of gray hair mixed in with mine.....BUT I AM HAPPY to say I HAVE BEAUTIFUL SKIN......LOL......we take what we are given and we should be happy with it.....I am a very happy and self confident woman......so it is all GOOD.....

The symptoms of aging are determined by physical, mental, social, geographical and climatic factors. When the fat level present in the adipose tissue gets reduced our skin looses the stiffness and therefore fine lines develop. It is not that age determines it but it is determined by the fat level under the skin. I think as far as we keep the fat level constant we can look young and beautiful.

Typically, it occurs a few weeks after they're born. Babies experience rapid physical growth, which is quite visible.

That aside, if you want your skin to remain smooth for as long as possible:
1) Never sunbathe or use a tanning salon.
2) Keep your skin clean, but don't use overly alkaline soaps.
3) Eat healthy and get exercise.
