no this is not a generalization, it is a stated fact. when 10 out of the 10 loudest most outspoken right wing zealots are found guilty of this that and the other weird sexual deviancy there has to be something going on in that party.

It is the best place to hide. The Right Wing is a target of hypocrites to join because its stated values are so much the opposite of their own. Nobody would expect them there, they reason. Plus it could be a last ditch effort to cure themselves of their "inner demons."

Probably the same reason that the most zealous Democrat politicians end up in scandal too (and many of the moderate Democrats, and the moderate Republicans, and the public school teachers and the Catholic priests and the Baptist ministers and the soccer coaches and the .........). There are bad people in every group. It isn't specific to the Republicans. I will say that the press does love to report on any scandalous behavior on the part of Republicans while similar or worse examples of deviant Democrats tends to get buried if reported at all.

Many Republicans end up in scandal simply by failing to live up to higher moral standards.
Democrats do not have moral standards.
Putting a cigar where it doesn't belong in a young woman that is not your wife does not qualify as sexual deviancy?
Of course not, he carried around a 10 pound Bible on Sundays, so he must be moral.
A gay prostitution ring the appartment of Barney Frank, not immoral.
We are obviously not electing the best of us to government.

It is a generalization. There are just as many scandals in the ranks of Democrats as republicans. The religious angle is because the Republicans are more outspoken about their religion because they have one.

Really?
Let's see if I can name 10 who are well known, but not involved in a scandal:
Mitt Romney
Rudy Giuliani
Jon McCain
Duncan Hunter
Fred Thompson
George Bush
Dick Cheney
Scooter Libby
Carl Rove
Newt Gingrich
Trent Lott
Kay Bailey Hutchison
Anne Coulter
Michelle Maulkin
Laura Ingraham
Rush Limbaugh
Sean Hannity
Michael Savage
Glenn Beck
Lars Larson
Bill O'Reilly
(Ooops, that's more than ten, isn't it?)
A lot of these are loud mouths, but the only thing anyone can find on them are allegations, and allegations are rarely more than rantings of a liberal in heat.
(So much for your theory, huh?)

Of course the democrats don't have any scandalous or hypocritical secular humanist members....
All the democrats calling for wealth redistribution from the rich to the poor, yet have all their cash hidden off shore or in tax shelters, live in million dollar mansions, and yet claim they are for the poor and middle class....
When republicans are caught in scandals, they are asked to step down. When democrats get caught, they are appointed to special committees and reelected.

The truth is a freaky thing to the world.
Right wing politicians preach the truth of God.
That is also freaky to the world.
I am right winged and also have been called a Jesus freak.
I am in good company.

I don't know...I think it's just a better news story when those ones do something pervy than when it's somebody who doesn't make a big deal of such things.

"Man bites dog".
A Democrat can engage in a certain behavior, and that is not considered news... that's a "dog bites man" story.
A Republican does the same thing, and it is news... "man bites dog".

people become religious zealots for a reason; they turn to religion to help them fight the perceived demons in their heads. they have been raised to believe such "sexual deviancy" is sinful and once it lures them in, they turn to religion to cope with their problems. then they use this so-called moral authority within their beliefs to dictate the lives of others. being a hypocrite is hard work lol
