it was the right thing to do, and refreshing because most guys wouldn't do it. forget the fantasy implications, if you are a fan of football, you don't get too worked up, even if he's on your team.

What Westbrook did was genius, just a great football play and one of the most unselfish acts. He is an amazing football player, one of the best in the game prob. the most underrated. I hate the Eagles, with a passion, huge Cowboys fan but the guy is just a classy individual with GREAT talent.
It also showed alot of respect the Eagles have for Tony Romo and the Cowboys offense. It shows that despite how horrible the Boys played that they know Romo and company are capable of pulling it together at any given time. The TD would have put them up by 11 (given the XP) with less 2:50 left, to show that kind of respect for an offense that they dont want to give them the ball down 2 scores with less than 3 minutes and although they had only managed 6 points all game, that shows alot from the Eagles esp. Westbrook.

Brian Westbrooks play of breaking that great rush to kneel at the endzone was not only a smart move but a team player move. There was 2:08 left on the clock when he did that. if he scores it give dallas the ball back with a couple of timeouts and the two minute warning. but with that he as the ball on the 1 yard line if not closer now bringing it to the two minute warning and a fresh set of downs to kill the clock for two plays if not three then if they wanted to they could push and easy one yard run for a touchdown. I applaud the smart and humble move to get the win instead of the stats...
as far as the fantasy football stats were to go it is a few points you missed out on and will get over it in a few weeks. you can't predict what a player is going to do and that is what makes the fantasy leagues fun. I like this cause it added that curve ball to it and it was a smart play...

it wasnt an unselfish thing he did, they werent exactly running up the score
it was just smart, and it was with 2 minutes left it was right at the 2 minute warning
by downing the ball and running out the clock he gave the cowboys no chance of a hair mary and an onside kick recovery. smart but not unselfish
i own westbrook too , i would have loved to see him just run it in and dance on the star

it was a smart move on his part for real.
he kept the ball out of the other teams hands and the Eagles were able to run the clock out and win the game. Vice scoring quickly and giving the Cowboys another shot to drive down the field most folks would've just taken it in for the score. But he was thinking ahead and made a wise football decision its what they play for not us fantasy folk.

I thought it was an incredibly smart move, but benevolence and class had nothing to do with it. He wanted to run out the clock without giving the ball back to the other team. Great heads-up play.

Class.
And he still gave more fantasy points than Romo and TO combined! Ha ha. Play him next week; he's due for 2 (or more).
