I would rather stand alone in my belief than to follow the wrong path.
Where my path goes- I will be judged for that, and not for anothers.

Both.
One has to know when they don't have all the equipment to do a task or a set of tasks. They have to know what they can do and what they cannot do. So ...when you are in a position without the tools to do the job then you follow the one who can see you through. When you have what you need to do the task at hand then you lead.
I cannot take a group of men and women up the Amazon, but I will follow one who knows the river and the ways of that route.
I can work in the visual arts exceedingly well, so I can lead others to that field admirably without a second thought.
This means that follow or lead would depend on the situation and your own abilities or lack of abilities.

Well my mother always told me I was a leader not a follower. In school I never caved in to peer pressure (never smoked, drank or tried drugs) in order to fit in or be cool. I really didn't give a rat's *** if I fit in. I kind of liked to stand out (especially when I was singing on stage!) So I'm not a follower. But I don't know that I'm necessarily a Leader because I don't know that anyone is following me...

I think that you should always be true to yourself and stand up for what you believe in. Even if it contradicts "popular opinion." The greatest people in history were the rebels. The ones who dared to be a little different and go their own way. Sadly, many of them were persecuted, attacked and killed...ok I may have to rethink my position on this! Tee hee.

I still don't drink, smoke or do drugs. I wish others would follow my example! Just say no!

:)

Follow the Leader but sometimes I go off on my own. I never seem to follow them to the end to wherever they are leading. Instead I tend to go off on a tangent. I am certain NOT the leader yet. I can't follow myself how would I expect anyone else to. If I truly find the way I will show you but I cannot lead you. You must find your way too.

Thanks for the Q

i think the titles "leader" or "follower" are very mutable depending on the situation--as well they should be! no one should bear the burden of being a leader ALL of the time... and no one should blindly follow others' wills without developing their own, either. a good balance of both will lead to a happy life--i know that, personally, i am a leader for the most part. however, it's good to be humble enough to take the advice and leadership of others (God, especially) to heart sometimes.

You do neither. If all men are equal then no one should be leading anyone anywhere. One should research the events of the past to make a decision about the future. The only thing that should lead you is your goal. People headed in your direction (followers, if you must call them that) will help GUIDE you to your [common] goal.

I lead the followers to where they are supposed to go to. Sometimes I lead them to where they aren` t.
I don` t follow the leaders most of the time.
It` s because the leader I follow most of the time is myself.

I follow the followers, but only when I have to

Children play 'follow the leader', yet it is written, "..and a little child shall lead them..."
To where? There's no place like home, but practically speaking, knowledge and power of self to SELF.

A little of both. I follow the signs of those who went before me, we all have something to learn. Yet, from time to time others will cross my path & I will show them where I travelled. I really think we all lead & follow, are there really any orginal thoughts or concepts?
Blessings
