Geographically speaking....
1. Colts
2. Cincinnatti
3. Titans
Closer you are to the team you root for, the more likely you will share common interest with local fans.
Or you could be a bandwagon fan and root for the Patriots.

Support the one that's home games are closest. Don't just pick the pats because they could become an unbeaten team. The only way you can qualify for being a pats fan is supporting them for years or actually living in New England( I'm a Pats fan but since I don't live in the US so I don't have a local team and the Pats won the first game I watched so thats why I'm a fan). You could always wait till next season and pick a team that you like the look of in the pre-season. Or pick a team that you enjoy to watch and teams under .500 can still be exciting to watch even if they don't win. You could always support the college you went to or your local college's team and support the NFL team the drafts your colleges star player or a NFL team that has a starting player that went to the college you support.

Green Bay is an honorable team. It has won the most NFL Championships with a total of 12. So there is a strong winning tradition there.

you should decide this.
as for myself?
when i was 6 i lived in Wisconsin and every Sunday my dad had people over and they all rooted for 1 team(packers of course). It did not make sense to me and i wanted to be different. I thought that the purple and yellow were the coolest colors. From then on i have stuck with the vikings. little did i know at the time i would be rooting for the worst team for 10 years. food for thought... you decide.
GO VIKES!

How bout the team you have most interest in?
you may livein kentucky, but you may like the cardinals???
it just depends. just DONT jump on any bangwagon, like others say, just b/c another team is doing "awesome" this year doesnt mean you have to "like" them.
i got into football when my husband made me watch the eagles games, he would call me from work every 5 mins and i HAD to tell him highlights and what happened on every play and what the score was, etc.
thats how i started liking NFL, and esp the eagles, also coming from near Philly, it was inevitable. Now i thank my husband for "making" me watch football. i cant get enough of it!
just go for whatever team you like! maybe make it easy on yourself, and go for whatever team your closest too, so when you can go to a game, its closest.

This is what i would do. Since you live close to some good teams i think you should pick one in your are.Since the Indianapolis Colts are right above you in Indiana I say you should cheer for them and also because they are 12-2 not so bad Eh and they won the Super bowl last year. I have to say tho I am not a fan of the colts but they are one of my favorite teams, but I am a Seahawks fan. The reason I chose the colts for you is that they are close enough to take a family or a bunch of friends down there for a game and actually watch them, I am just thinking of what would be best for you. thanks for your time.

Wow, a lot of bandwagoneers are tellin you steelers... but then you'd suck.
Lol. As another guy told you - the closest team to you... would that be tennesse titans? Or, watch for a certain player position you like and find a favorite player. then root for the team.

Green Bay Packers....they are the most storied franchise in the NFL. They are doing good this year and Brett Favre is an all american man. You should pick the packers because of some many reasons but...there are less reason's why not so i'll list some of those. Brett's going to retire soon...that's about it.

I say Cleveland Browns. Nearly every game they play is exciting and comes down to the last play. Maybe not good if you got a bad heart, too much stress.

OHHH my friend the luxury you are experiencing. Many of us can be broken into 3 different groups. One portion of us were born into our teams geographically, another group inherited them by way of our fathers and brothers and the final third of the majority of us foolishly made snap decisions at such an early age. I don't have to choose actor as a career because I grep up in so.cal, I am certainly not going to go with a mullet because my dad has one. You wouldn't ask a ten year old to decide on his life long mate. We take time to decide on these semi-important issues, but on the most important issue of all. Who I am going to hang my every sunday on, who I am I going to invest 6 months of the year in. We make foolish choices. So take your time and choose wisely.
Oh yeah and finally consider one last thing as you choose, do you wanna rock your terams gear when your out. Trust me it is a factor take it from a Vikings fan, even Panther fans in teal shirts are making fun of me
