There is no moral judgment against piracy as a way of life. In fact the pirates seem more moral than the British Empire. What are the implications of this in society?

They portray the real thing in life.
The dead Mummy with skeleton of skull and bones risen from the graveyards of failures and horrors of the past as "Beauty and the beast"
Who could not die.
Luke 8.10,17
At loss with the missing coin.
While kicking the butts of living human kind for making the mess without being aware of it in own backyards.
Ever wonder why we need "The spoils of the war"
to let them go and rest in peace.
So when ever the full moon rise.
Make sure we all stay back home.
When they are in town.
Luke 9.55-56
What do you think?

I would say the movies portray the Pirates not as "freedom fighters" but "freedom lovers". The British Empire was all about rules and restrictions. A person was expected to behave in a very proper, and dignified manner. Even the fashions of the time were restrictive. Look at the dress Elizabeth Swan was made to wear in the first movie. Pirates wore what ever they wanted, sailed where ever they felt like, and took what ever pleased them. That's the "romantic" way the movies show them. The truth about the Pirates and the British Empire is another story.

I think people like to go to the movies to enjoy the idea of being free to do what ever they want, like the Pirates. Our society has a lot of rules and restrictions now. (With so many people in the world, you have to have a lot of that.) If you don't behave properly "bad things will happen". Sometimes people like to be able to escape, if only for a brief time.
