There is this action movie that i really want to see but i cant remember the name.?

This movie has something to do with terrists and nuclear weapons on an island. I know the main characters are a younger man and then an older man. I think there was prisoners and the US sent the younger man to help them and somehow they made this older man get involved. They told them they could only give them so much time until they would have to destory the island so they would not launch the warheads.

If you have any idea it would be helpful. I cant remember any of the actors in it or anything. I watched it a few years ago and really want to see it again.

"The Rock" (1996)

Plot Line:
A group of U.S. marines under command of a renegade general (Ed Harris) take over Alcatraz (a.k.a. the Rock) and threat San Francisco Bay with biological weapons. A chemical weapon specialist (Nicolas Cage) and the only man (Sean Connery) to have ever escaped from Alcatraz are the only ones who can prevent chaos.

It's a GREAT movie by the way, one of all time best action. The cast performance is outstanding and the script and plot are solid. The score music is also amazing by Hans Zimmer (Pirates of the Caribbean, Batman Begins etc…). Directed by the one and only Michael Bay (Transformers, Pearl Harbor, Armageddon etc…).
