you will get away with it a couple of times but it will tear the transmission up if continually done.

No! not at all... The grinding sound was nothing at all... Ummm... YES IT WAS BAD!!! DON'T DO IT! Do You Like your car at all? Then don't do it again!!!

ALWAYS come to a complete stop before switching gears. If it only happens once there is a good chance there was no damage done but, do not make a habit of it. you may strip the gears and wind up with very expensive transmission problems.

It is not good for the transmission. I doubt if you did any damage, but don't do it again. You could cause some damage and I'm not too sure if warranty would cover it.

good luck

Wow do you really need an answer to this question. Of course you damaged the transmission.
Failing to operate an automatic transmission is hard to do. Thanks, now I have a new blonde joke!

It is possible, but if you weren't moving too fast, than I wouldnt worry about it, if there was damage than you would be able to make it move (while in park) by pushing it hard.

you probably did no longer injury it this time, whether it could strip the parking teeth off the tail shaft of the transmission if doe at a intense value of velocity, for now identity say you probably did no longer do any injury to it,so do no longer problem approximately it,good luck on it.

well the only thing that park does it puts a little pin in a hole you could break it off as long as park still works i would not worry about it. that's why you should allways use your e-brake
