First thing is Burger King still grills their burgers as needed, McDonalds prepares alot of items ahead of time then put the items in plastic trays to be pulled as needed.
Over all each one has it's good points and bad points.
At Burger King you can get a burger well done, McDonalds is not always that way.
Chicken at both places is prepared the same way, deep fried.
Salad is is the same just what type of dressing you ask for.
Prices depend on the location you are at, such as State, City, etc..

Burger King Whopper, would walk a mile for one!
Chicken I don't eat at fast food places
Salad (see above)
Price is good at Burger King for what you get
Overall taste, hands down is Burger King
Burger King is King...but I severely limit myself there because burgers are high in salt and calories, even the broiled ones.

Burger King is good but too expensive
Mcdonalds cheap but really bad

The King wins on Burgers & Chicken; ties on Salads & Prices, & loses on their Fries to McD's (I REALLY think McDonalds could STAY in Business- if they sold NOTHING but their Fries! They're just BETTER than EVERYBODY elses!!!). Personally, I give Burger King the fast food "edge". :)
