That sounds like a good idea. Keep a close eye on your grades this semester. It is great that you have cut back on work, but I'm assuming that you need to work to stay in school. If that isn't the case, you should probably give it up altogether for a while until you get the hang of school a little better. You don't want to end up on academic probation.

That's a lot of classes! DAMN! My suggestion is just planning your weeks out once the semester starts. Some classes require more attention than others and you can probably figure that out after a few weeks. I find that college is all about endless reading. I hardly ever have homework to turn in and if I do it's a reading response to what was assigned; lame. Make sure to have "me time" at some point or you'll go nuts. If you are just working on weekends, make sure to get all your work done during the week before you do nothing. Personally, if I had been doing homework for hours on end and midnight rolls around, I just call it a night. Your attention span isn't as good when you're half awake and all you'll be thinking about is sleep. Haven't you had those nights when you read a bunch of pages and then when you're done you think "What the hell did I just read?!" Good luck though =) Enjoy the winter break

Can't you find some easier classes to take your freshman year? Sounds like you're trying to kill yourself with these classes. I realize you have to take them, but you also have to take some less stressful classes. Mix some of them in and don't have everything so heavy in one semester. You will make yourself nuts and not be able to get that GPA up. What is easier for you? I'd change some of this spring schedule if I were you.

Why is your GPA so low. Is there a problem going on or something, you really need to bring up your GPA. Those classes are pretty hard as well, you might want to try and easy your load.
