My favorite is still Labyrinth.. (I grew up on it.. and have always been a HUGE fan of David Bowie.. even as far back as 3 or 4 yrs old.. I'm 29 now.. long time)
However.. I wouldn't necessarily say.. "Best" for that.. The one that made the most impact on me.. and stirs the most emotional response .. would be Higher Learning.. Jennifer Connelly is not the main character.. but the entire cast did a great job.. the story was intense.. and it all came together perfect..

Labyrinth was also my favorite. I also REALLY liked The House of Sand and Fog, although it was sad.
PS. I think someone confused Jennifer Connelly with Jennifer Grey from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, which was also an excellent movie.
