A Few Trillion Diamonds

Enter into my glory, saith the Lord
Sometimes the day is so beautiful
Someone could die
The sunlight reflects off the water
Like a few trillion diamonds
The sparkling sea of glass

The earth is mine, saith the Lord
As blue sky and white clouds
Stretch out as far as the eye can see
Some of those clouds
Must be from heaven

My soul longs to be a part of that creation
That God willed, planned from the first
How beautiful the songs of the earth
When creature and creation
Sing the praises of the Lord

My heart beats in sadness
Longing to put off corruption
And longing to sing with the sons of God
Surely the Lord call us
I pray that we listen

Nice read. We need such sacred prayerful poems also.

"The earth is mine, saith the Lord." Quite correct

"As blue sky and white clouds/Stretch out as far as the eye can see." Beautiful imagery

"Some of those clouds/Must be from heaven." Not sure about this.
"My soul longs to be a part of that creation." Mine too.

This last stanza makes it realistic and places the poem right in our midst:

"My heart beats in sadness
Longing to put off corruption
And longing to sing with the sons of God
Surely the Lord call us
I pray that we listen"

Yes, the world is corrupt indeed and we need more prayers. Problem is we've got to endure sadness but keep on praying.
Good moral lesson in my view.
