Absolutely...the flavor is much better than the broiler in the kitchen and it only takes a minute to go out and throw on a steak on. Love good steaks with a little garlic salt and pepper. Also do chicken marinated for about an hour in barbeque sauce and then throw it on, turn it once and voila, grilled chicken.

Another GREAT advantage--if you like fish a lot, which we do--is that you keep the smell outside.

I'm hungry now...too late to grill tonight but probably tomorrow.

Depends on your definition of BBQ. Normally we still grill in the winter. Only sometimes do we BBQ...Grilling w/ gas is quick & easy & fun even in the snow.

Of course,

There is nothing like the flavor of a good steak, barbecued while it is sleeting. We use the following formula:

Fine mist (below 45F)- Chicken Kabobs
Light snow (30-47F)- Rib Eye
Heavysnow (-10-30F) Hamburgers (with wind-franks)
Rain/Snow (any temp) Sausage

we usually bbq in summer and freeze it. then we can eat it in the winter.
if we really crave bbq, we put a cut up chicken in the crock pot with a bottle of bbq sauce. then when it is done, serve it with fresh bbq sauce and corn on the cob and potato salad. yum!!!!!
