I think it means "everyday world", meaning that it's the world most people see everyday. Most everyone has a basic routine. All these routines share things in common: working, eating, sleeping, interacting, commuting, shopping, etc... This creates a picture of an everyday or "ordinary world". Makes sense?
Ordinary World is also a popular song by Duran Duran. "But I won't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world, somehow I have to find. And as I try to make my way, to the ordinary world, I will learn to survive".
What the lyrics of this song mean, since it is poetic, is probably open to interpretation, and could be appealing to people from many different backgrounds. There's probably some interview recorded somewhere, where someone asks the members of Duran Duran what the meaning of this song is.
It would seem that "ordinary world", from the song, means a longing for the way things were - a person remembers a way of life that has since passed and misses it. Perhaps, it is just a different poetic way of saying the title of another well known song: "The Way We Were". Interesting... This reveals why these songs would be popular, since many people probably experience this feeling in their own lives and must find a way to move on...
Well, hope all this helps. :)
