The Stones have made so many classic albums it's sometimes hard to stay focused on just one. But if I had to break it down, my choice would be "Sticky Fingers", for quality and and clarity of the songs. There's no filler to be found on the album, plus the Stones had the balls to pluck out classic rarities like Fred McDowell's "You Gotta Move", an old gospel/blues tune. Then there's the closing trio of "Sister Morphine" , "Dead Flowers", finished off by "Moonlight Mile".....Ya just can't do any better than that, even if you ARE the Rolling Stones!
And you can't forget songs like "B*tch", "Can't You Hear Me Knockin', "Wild Horses", and "Brown Sugar".
This is the Stones at the height of their creativity, musical inspiration, and decadence.......what more could you ask for. Just like the album's 2nd song says, "it's just that demon eye's that's got me in it's sway".........What a friggin' great album STICKY FINGERS is!
